GRAND RAPIDS, MICHIGAN, USA – April 6, 2020 – Jon Davis of Perfect Fit Placement is the recipient of the inaugural Community Service Award presented by NPAworldwide. In recognition of this award, NPAworldwide has made a $1,000 contribution to Coram Deo.

Jon Davis and his wife, Jody, are the founders of Coram Deo (www.coramdeorecovery.org) in the greater Hartford (CT) area. Coram Deo helps women struggling with addiction and abuse rebuild their lives and families. This support is provided through safe, structured recovery housing, employment services and a back-to-work program.

“My wife, Jody and I were very honored for this first annual award and the recognition from NPAworldwide that the work we do is considered important to the organization, commented Mr. Davis. He continued, “The donation presented by NPAworldwide will provide the resources to house one woman for two months, allowing someone new to our program time to find employment and continue with our program. Addiction and all of its effects is an insidious part of society and affects families across all boundaries. I am so blessed that as a recruiter, I have the freedom to structure my day in a way that allows me to deal with issues at Coram Deo as they arise.”

James Lyons, NPAworldwide Secretary/Treasurer, played an instrumental role in the creation of the Community Service Award. “Jon and Jody Davis established Coram Deo in their living room 14 years ago. Since then Coram Deo has grown to become the single largest recovery entity for women in the state of Connecticut,” remarked Mr. Lyons. “We are pleased to recognize their hard work, commitment, and worthy mission with a charitable contribution.”

The Community Service Award was established in late 2019 to recognize members who are contributing to their local communities, volunteering, doing charitable activities, or impacting people in ways beyond their work in the network. Nominations are sought from the NPAworldwide membership based on the following criteria: Contribution to the audience or community; Impact on people / results for the community; Legacy or enduring difference made; Time invested / significance of sacrifice. The Community Service Award recipient is chosen by a selection committee, with the award presented during the NPAworldwide Global Conference.
